This month Asian American Life looks at New York City’s most diverse city council as it swears in the highest number of Asian Americans into political office. Plus it’s been one year since the brutal attacks of Asian Americans nationwide. Host and correspondent Ernabel Demillo speaks with one victim’s family who’s fighting back with AAP(I Belong). Historical lessons, the Public Theater’s true story of “The Chinese Lady” is an off Broadway hit. And we visit Yu & Me books, the first Asian American female owned bookstore.
